Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, conflict management abilities, and relevant security experience. This role is vital in maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance, incident response, and loss prevention measures. Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security operations is highly valued. The Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding effectively to emergencies to uphold safety standards.

Duties

Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to detect suspicious activity Conduct regular patrols of the facility to identify potential security breaches or hazards Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies with appropriate action Enforce access control procedures by verifying credentials and managing visitor logs Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring immediate assistance during medical emergencies Manage conflict situations with professionalism and conflict management skills to de-escalate tensions Conduct loss prevention activities by observing and preventing theft or vandalism Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with law enforcement or emergency services when required Assist in training new security personnel on protocols and procedures as needed

Requirements

Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related fields preferred Certifications in first aid, CPR, and conflict management highly desirable Familiarity with surveillance systems such as CCTV and alarm systems Strong observational skills with attention to detail Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations professionally Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents and coordinating with team members Valid security license or certification as required by local regulations (if applicable) Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
