3-D Laser Scanning Technician Reality Capture Division - Phoenix, AZ
We create highly accurate 3D as-built models of the built environment, of existing facilities in support of exciting rehabilitation and modernization projects for design professionals and contractors. We create models for both Augmented and Virtual reality experiences. Projects range from medical centers, reimagining of retail mall space, underground tunnels, universities, world famous zoos, stadiums and arenas to the facilities that support the public wellbeing: sewer and wastewater treatment facilities, power generation stations, storm drainage structures, and culturally significant facilities such as 100-year-old churches, former world fair sites, and the worlds shortest railway to name a few. Qualifications Candidate will have a BS in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Structural), Surveying, Construction, Architecture, or Associate Degree in Drafting, Design & 3D Modeling Technology or will have a minimum equivalent and related work experience of 2 years.
This position is primarily of a 3D Revit modeler that will assist the 3D Laser Scanning Department in providing services related to reality capture, data collection, post processing and modeling. The modeling intent is to establish the true geometric alignment, size, and position of built objects, we create the \xe2\x80\x98digital twin\xe2\x80\x99. Tasks will primarily be performed in office on a modeling workstation. Some field work will occur from time to time.
Technical Experience

• Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in production modeling (design or construction) using the Autodesk Revit platform
• Experience may include architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing or fire protection
• Experience with 3D Laser Scanning or terrestrial lidar is a plus (may include field procedures, registration and modeling/compiling with using the Leica Cyclone suite of products)
• Experience in other technology platforms is considered relevant
• A basic understanding of the Building Information Modeling (BIM) process is required

• 3D Awareness
• Position requires a good driving record
• Ability to carry 40 lbs of equipment to the jobsite.
• Overnight travel is a requirement of this position with the possibility of international travel
