S&S Tire opened their first retail tire store in Lexington, KY over 50 years ago. Today, we are third generation family owned and doing business out of 18 states. We are currently looking to add a 2nd shift Warehouse Associate/Backup Driver for our Lexington Wholesale Warehouse.

Duties performed in this position include, but are not limited to:

Warehouse Associate tasks

Loads, unloads, checks and tallies tires to and from carriers [trailer trucks] Selects, packs, counts, marks, palletizes tires of customer orders and places in the assigned staging areas according to bin locator system. Checks and verifies accuracy of selecting, packing, weighing, marking, and counting of tires for customer orders. May operate forklift, pallet jacks, and/or cherry picker. Participates in cycle and/or annual physical inventories. Ensures safety guidelines are met by the proper palletizing, re-palletizing, and restacking of tires. Maintain compliance with procedures and policies

Driver Tasks

Provide excellent customer service to all customers. Safely operate 16' to 28' box truck for delivery of products. Makes collections from customers for merchandise delivered on a Cash on Delivery basis. Ensures good mechanical operation of vehicle. Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections at the beginning of each work day and immediately report operating problems or mechanical defects to the Warehouse Manager or designee. Completes all driver and vehicle maintenance logs.

Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of verifiable driving experience Good safety record (no more than 3 violations in the last 3 years) Valid driver's license - in good standing Forklift license is a plus Ability to work in a fast paced, customer service oriented environment Attention to detail Commitment to being on time * High School diploma or equivalent
