Vartan Aero is an aircraft product support service provider looking to hire interior mechanics with mechanical aptitude at our Mobile AL location where we provide support to Airbus and all the big-name customers onsite.

Tasks:

Independently prioritize and carry out work requested from multiple communication lanes Communicate and correspond both orally and in writing with suppliers and customers in a polite and professional manner Carry out mechanical and cosmetic reworks of non-conformities, adjustments, replacements, and calibrations Install, file, sand, paint, etc. decorative laminate ("declam") Troubleshoot electrical systems Replace electrical connectors, terminal lugs, and wires Apply requested modifications Document reworks

Requirements:

Ability to work second shift schedule with shift flexibility, travel, and work OT Reliable transportation Ability to work independently or as a team in a fast-paced environment Have high standards for your work Ability to clear a background check, drug screen, and obtain an Airbus badge and passport Proficient in Microsoft Office and internal software applications Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, and work stand unassisted Must be able to bend, kneel, crawl and stoop frequently in confined spaces Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted Must be willing to work in an environment that is subject to changing climate conditions and moderate noise levels

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum educational requirement: Associate degree or equivalent job training Technical/mechanical background such as A&P mechanic, automotive mechanic, cabinetmaking, or comparable experience Willingness to travel Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Work experience that demonstrates longevity and commitment. Be reliable and able to work independently and/or with a team in accordance with drawings and work instructions
