QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of high school and work experience in plumbing or related field or attendance of technical trade school for plumbing or related coursework preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works under the guidance of a skilled licensed plumber to perform specific or general duties.



Keeps the journeyman supplied with tools and materials.



Cleans work area, machines and equipment.



Digs trenches and cuts flooring, pavement, and concrete as necessary to install or repair hydraulic lines.



Performs routine tasks as needed.



Develops increasing skills in plumbing trade through observation and experience.



Attends and successfully completes all training activities as required to improve ability and knowledge in performance of work duties.



Serves as team player and role model for other employees in the organization; demonstrates a commitment to continuous quality improvement; supports and exhibits organizational core values of caring, respect, integrity, responsibility, high expectations, being customer driven, and valuing fairness.



Performs other duties and accepts responsibilities as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The employee must be able to demonstrate the following physical demands to safely and productively perform the essential functions of the Plumber position.



The job requires constant walking/standing on level and uneven terrains and material handling/tool use; frequent work from below grade to overhead, climbing and pushing/pulling; and occasional sitting/driving.



The employee must be able to lift/carry 20 lbs constantly, 50 lbs frequently and 110 lbs occasionally.



The employee must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 120 lbs/force.



The employee must be able to work in confined spaces requiring entry to 24" x 24" crawl spaces occasionally.



The employee must be able to tolerate the above job demands on a regular schedule and as assigned.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Background check with local and state law enforcement agencies required.


Must possess a valid North Carolina driver's license.


Must possess ability to obtain a CDL if requested.
