Salmon Brook Rehab and Nursingis seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team. As an Activities Assistant, you will be responsible for planning and implementing a variety of activities designed to enhance the quality of life for our residents. Your role will be vital in creating a positive and engaging environment that promotes physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities:

Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing activities for residents. Encourage resident participation in activities. Ensure activities are tailored to meet the needs and interests of residents. Assist in setting up and cleaning up after activities. Monitor and report on resident participation and feedback. Collaborate with other staff to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive activity program.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Creativity and enthusiasm for working with the elderly. Basic computer skills.

Skills:

Excellent organizational skills. Ability to motivate and engage residents. Patience and understanding in dealing with residents. Flexibility in scheduling and activity planning.
