Servco's internship program is an opportunity for top students to gain relevant work experience in various areas. Internship positions are only available in Hawaii. The program offers interns challenging and meaningful work that allows them to demonstrate their abilities, apply knowledge acquired through college courses, and be evaluated for possible future employment opportunities within Servco. Our internships create opportunities for interns to establish important relationships with experienced professionals.
This is a full-time (40 hours per week) in person internship program which spans over a period of 8 weeks: 06/08/2026 - 07/31/2026
The Servco Buying Center Intern will support the Used Car Buying Center and Flex Operations teams, gaining hands-on experience in Hawai'i's automotive industry through meaningful, skill-building work. This internship offers exposure to the full lifecycle of vehicle purchasing and inventory management -- from customer intake and appraisal to documentation, logistics, and lot coordination. The intern will assist with process improvement projects, operational tasks, and documentation management that contribute directly to Servco's pre-owned and fleet operations. This opportunity is ideal for students interested in automotive business, operations management, or marketing, providing real-world experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:Operational Learning & Support
+ Assist the Buying Center Manager and Flex Inventory team with vehicle intake, documentation, and coordination.
+ Observe and participate in the used car purchase process, including appointment scheduling, appraisal preparation, and documentation review.
+ Support inventory tracking, vehicle key management, and lot organization.
+ Help coordinate vehicle logistics such as vendor pickups, vehicle shuttling, and reconditioning scheduling.
+ Learn how to evaluate used car market trends and sourcing opportunities through platforms like Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and ACVMax.
Project & Administrative Support
+ Assist with project-based assignments focused on process improvement or data organization.
+ Maintain and organize documentation such as vehicle purchase files, titles, registrations, and vendor invoices.
+ Help manage vehicle readiness tracking tools and reporting for Flex and Pre-Owned units.
+ Participate in cross-functional coordination with Sales, Service, Recon, and Business Office teams.
Professional Development
+ Participate in Servco's structured intern learning program, including leadership sessions and team presentations.
+ Gain exposure to dealership operations, customer service processes, and automotive reconditioning workflows.
+ Present end-of-program learnings and recommendations to management.
+ Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:Currently enrolled in or graduated within the last 6 months from a college/university program
Previous experience with volunteer work, school/student activities, leadership roles, etc.
Interest in automotive operations, logistics, or business management.
Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft applications
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities
Ability to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and complete tasks as assigned
Valid driver's license with clean driving record (required for vehicle movement duties)
