Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Arrive at designated job area on time for every assigned shift. Confer with Molding Dept Lead at the start of any shift to receive direction or information. Perform all duties in a manner that contributes to the effective, efficient work flow of the production department and corporation.
Has knowledge of commonly used EPS block molding concepts, practices and procedures. Follow written or verbal procedures and instructions to manage block molding activity. Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely manner. Using designated formulas, perform block molding by setting machine controls, injecting required amounts of raw material, then regulating molding temperatures, pressure and time.
Remove finished blocks from block rollers, keeping rollers empty to ensure uninterrupted molder operation. Inspect blocks for quality conformance. Using designated writing implement, mark all blocks with appropriate information identifying length, weight, block type, density, date, lot number and molder's initials.
Move and arrange blocks in neat, even rows within designated areas. Use appropriate, designated tools and equipment to move blocks. Place only one type of block in each row. If a row must contain more than one type of block, mark the front block of that row with written identification to display what type of blocks are stored behind it in the affected row.
Perform regular maintenance and minor trouble-shooting on molding machinery as needed. Report any required major repairs to Maintenance Manager and Block Molder Dept. Lead.
Verify daily work and duties performed. Input data into computer system. Help identify, develop and implement cost-saving measures by sharing ideas with appropriate supervisor. Understand and comply with all Benchmark Foam safety policies and procedures. Take independent actions as needed to accomplish goals.
Job Specific Competencies:
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using weight, measurement, volume and distance.

Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with situations involving several possible solutions.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer hardware and software.
