A 1st Class Blaster/Painter is responsible for the preparation of metal surfaces for painting and will also paint components, equipment, interiors, and exteriors of vesselsKey Responsibilities:
Can apply zinc, epoxy, enamel, or other types of surface coatings. Can troubleshoot blasting and painting equipment and read wet or dry gauges.
Qualifications:
Four (4) years of marine blasting and painting or one (1) year of continuous Company experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Read and interpret paint specifications and manufacturer application instructions. Well versed in spraying conventional, airless, or hand paint systems. Familiar with Steel Structural Painting Chemical (SSPC) preparation.
