Job Overview: The Food Service Worker/Prep serves as a cafe worker helping in the preparation, presentation, and serving of meals to customers. Using ingredients and following routine steps, this worker makes sandwiches, cuts fruit and vegetables, prepares salads, and may slice and/or mix simple ingredients, as needed, cleans counters and maintains cleanliness of preparation area and equipment. General Responsibilities:
As of January 27, 2022, all individuals entering FE Warren AFB must be fully vaccinated. Work Location: One location
- \xe2\x80\xa2 Reads recipes and/or product directions.
- \xe2\x80\xa2 Uses a variety of kitchen utensils to weigh, measure, mix, wash, peel, cut, grind, stir, strain, and season for cooking, serving and storing.
- \xe2\x80\xa2 Assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods, and properly stores food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage.
- \xe2\x80\xa2 Cleans and sanitizes workstations and equipment following all Sodexo, client, and regulatory rules and procedures.
- \xe2\x80\xa2 Serves and replenishes food from counters and steam tables and breaks down stations at the end of meal periods.
- \xe2\x80\xa2 Presents self in a highly professional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics are essential.
- \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
- \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to communicate with co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect.
